Curious Art Gallery is an artist’s creative
initiative running as an Art Cooperative by the banks of the Tweed River with
picturesque views across the water to Mt. Warning. The Gallery has featured
several photographic exhibitions throughout the 13 years it has been open.
However as part of the Queensland Festival of Photography, Autumn Synthesis features photographic artworks from the individual
perspectives of several artists, of some of whose preferred visual medium is
painting, sculpture and drawing.
Dianne Smith presents a selection of rare
1950's prints from her childhood years living on the Navajo reservation in New
Mexico. Tracy Jay captures the natural world with her creative and discerning
eye. Ness Bryant reflects her painting
expressionist style through her personal, photographic interpretations.
Larraine Bryant turns her diverse stylistic approach to photography. Michael
Bryant reflects the love of lens with ocean, land and urbanscapes. Clare
Johnson features her endearing, whimsical and philosophical characters, in Miss
Prissy’s World.
